Waterfront Bed and Breakfast offers A trip to LeConte Bay through Whale Song Cruises . This tour allows visitors to a rare opportunity to observe first hand the role glaciers played in shaping the landscape of Southeast Alaska. Marine mammals, particularly harbor seals, humpback whales and Steller's sea lions, and a variety of sea birds are often seen on these trips. A beverage and light snack are included. Custom tours to Thomas Bay or both LeConte Bay and Thomas Bay are also available by special arrangement. LeConte Glacier at the head of LeConte Bay is the southernmost tidewater glacier in North America and one of the most breathtaking as it is surrounded by majestic cliffs and swirling clouds. Some days pack ice makes it impossible to get to the face of the glacier and this ice and giant icebergs create a setting of isolation and beauty you will not forget. You will be speechless when you encounter the breathtaking beauty of LeConte bay with its towering cliffs, massive icebergs and cascading waterfalls. This is a trip one must participate in!
